Fueling Birmingham's Growth.

Business Retention & Expansion is dedicated to driving Birmingham’s economic growth by assisting businesses in locating, expanding, and thriving within the city. We work collaboratively with the Alabama Department of Commerce, the Birmingham Business Alliance, and various city departments and agencies to attract targeted industries,

foster sustainable business growth, and create opportunities that benefit our community.

Through strategic partnerships, tailored incentives, and a deep understanding of Birmingham’s unique assets, we ensure businesses have the tools and support needed to succeed. Whether you’re a startup seeking a vibrant ecosystem,

an established company ready to scale, or a business exploring relocation, our team is here to guide you through every step of the process.

Together, we aim to build a robust, diverse economy that enhances Birmingham’s position as a premier destination for business, innovation, and opportunity.
